Vessels Stallion Farm Dispersal Opens Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK--OCTOBER 29, 2015--Heritage Place opened the 37th Annual Fall Mixed Sale Thursday with three sessions. The Vessels Stallion Farm, LLC Dispersal included the top five sellers on the first day. Thursday's opening session saw 219 of 275 head offered gross $2,884,000 for a $13,169 average and $6,500 median.

The yearling session average of $9,783. was a 17% decrease in average as compared to $11,755 last year. Session two, the Vessels Stallion Farm Dispersal was a nice addition with 23 head grossing $1.1 million for almost a $50,000 average. The third session, mixed horses, on Thursday was down 16%.

"Today’s regular sessions saw a decrease in the average sales price over last year, but the Vessel’s dispersal obviously boosts the gross sales higher," Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney said Thursday.  "I think today mirrored the market we have seen all summer long, the demand is still there for quality individuals that have the pedigree to match."

Your First Moon was the top seller on day 1 for $205,000. Ramon Vega purchased the champion/champion producing daughter of all-time leading sire First Down Dash from Bob Moore Farms, LLC, Agent for Vessels Stallion Farm LLC Dispersal.The dam of 2014 Champion 3-Year-Old Moonist sold open.

Vega also purchased the second high-seller from Bob Moore Farms, LLC, Agent for Vessels Stallion Farm LLC Dispersal, Our Last Choice a sister to champion Royal Quick Dash and Grade 1 winner A Regal Choice.

Copper Spring Ranch paid $80,000 for the third high-selling mare Onemoregalssofwine, a stakes winning daughter to leading sire Heza Fast Dash form the First Down Dash mare Fine Wines. She was also consigned by Bob Moore Farms, LLC, Agent for Vessels Stallion Farm LLC Dispersal.

Valeriano Racing paid $80,000 for a weanling Mr Jess Perry filly out of the high-seller Your First Moon, by First Down Dash. She was also a part of the Bob Moore Farms, LLC, Agent for Vessels Stallion Farm LLC Dispersal.

Bob Moore Farms, LLC, Agent for Vessels Stallion Farm LLC Dispersal was the opening session leading consignor or agent with 23 head selling for $1,145,200. Lazy E Ranch, LLC, Agent had 12 head gross $226,700 and Burns Ranch, Agent had eight head total $133,700.

Ramon Vega led all buyers on day 1 with five head for a $328,00 gross. Valeriano Racing Stables LLC had three purchases for $194,000 and Tom Scheckel had six purchases for $127,700.

One Famous Eagle led yearling sale sires (by average with two or more sold) with six yearling averaging $24,333. Mr Jess Perry had three head average $22,333 and Tres Seis had two for a $14,250 average.

Mr Jess Perry was the leading covering sire (by average with two or more sold) on day 1 with two in-foal mare average $91,500. First Down Dash had three in-foal mares for $64,333 and first sale yearling crop sire Feature Mr Bojangles sold two in-foal mares for an $18,500 average.
