Return To The Remuda Sale Announces Guest Consignors

GUTHRIE, TX—JUNE 24, 2015—The 2015 Return to the Remuda sale, known for its quality ranch horses and cowboy reunion atmosphere, is scheduled for October 10 at the Four Sixes Ranch in Guthrie, Texas. The partnership sale, presented by the Four Sixes, Pitchfork Land and Cattle Co., Tongue River Ranch and Beggs Cattle Co., will welcome guest consignors Wagonhound Land & Livestock and the W.T. Waggoner Estate.

Approximately 150 horses will be sold, with a sale horse demonstration and preview scheduled for Friday, October 9 at the Four Sixes Ranch.

The Return to the Remuda consignors have gained international respect for their outstanding remudas of American Quarter Horses. Four of the six ranches have won the coveted American Quarter Horse Association Best Remuda Award: the Four Sixes in 1993, the Waggoner Ranch in 1994, the Pitchfork Land and Cattle Co. in 1998 and the Tongue River Ranch in 2011.

With extensive histories of raising athletic, intelligent, working American Quarter Horses, these ranches offer bloodlines that have been refined over the decades, making them some of the most desired on the ranch and in the arena. Bidders may choose to add broodmares to their own herds, purchase a well-trained ranch gelding for the show arena or purchase a young horse that can be trained and finished as the buyer chooses.

Return to the Remuda Sale attendees will also have a rare chance to bid on the Four Sixes Ranch’s Road to the Horse champion Perfect Performance, a 7-year-old gray gelding by Sixes Pick and out of the Special Effort mare Best Performance. Chris Cox won his third Road to the Horse title with Perfect Performance in 2011, and the horse has been in training with the famous clinician since earning the title.

“The Return to the Remuda sale is always a highlight of the fall at the ranch,” said the Four Sixes’ Horse Division Manager Dr. Glenn Blodgett. “Each year, we choose some of our top horses for the sale, and our fellow ranches will also be bringing their best stock. With decades – and in some cases more than a century – of breeding history, these ranches have perfected turning horses into working partners. We look forward to welcoming our friends from around the world to the sale.”

The Return to the Remuda sale catalog will be available on the Four Sixes’ website at 6666ranch.com, and sale catalogs will be mailed if requested by calling (855) 674-6773.
