ALBUQUERQUE, NM–AUGUST 15, 2022–
LG Racing LLC's Runaway Witch, a sorrel 3-year-old daughter of Sir Runaway Dash trained by Armando Alamos, is the 3-1 morning-line favorite for Saturday's 400-yard, $50,000 Balloon City Stakes for fillies and mares at Albuquerque Downs.

One of only two 3-year-olds in the nine-horse field, Runaway Witch is coming off of a 1 3/4-length victory in the 400-yard, $80,000 Adequan Arizona Derby Challenge at Arizona Downs on July 16. The filly drew post 5 and will be ridden by Jacob Enriquez.

Other contenders include Chicky Chicky Kai, a 4-year-old Jess A Chicks mare trained by Carlos Sedillo for owner Mike G. Parker. Chicky Chicky Kai will be making her first official start since January 15, when the mare ran third, 1 3/4 lengths behind winner Cat Daddys Lil Girl, in the 400-yard, $100,000 Lou Wooten/Sydney Valentini Stakes (RG2) at Sunland Park.

Chicky Chicky Kai drew post 2 and will be ridden by Sergio Becerra Jr.
