RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM–AUGUST18 2022–
Trials for American Quarter Horse racing's richest and most prestigious race, the 440-yard, $3-million All American Futurity (G1) will be the focus of live racing at Ruidoso Downs on Friday and Saturday.

A total of 305 2-year-olds are entered in 32 heats, 16 on Friday and 16 on Saturday. First post time each day is set for 11 a.m. (MDT). Estimated post time for the last trial each day is 5 p.m.

Friday's trials are headed by Rogelio Marquez Jr.'s San Lorenzo Ivory and Simmons Racing's Getthere Fast. A gelded son of Ivory James and a $52,000 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City, San Lorenzo Ivory is coming off of a Remington Park spring campaign during which he earned $300,321 from four starts and won two races, including the 330-yard, $974,000 Remington Park Futurity (RG1) for Oklahoma-breds on April 16.

San Lorenzo Ivory drew post 10 and will be ridden by Juan Pulido for trainer Santos Carrizales Jr. in Friday's 13th trial.

Getthere Fast is a gelded son of champion Tempting Dash trained by Toby Keeton. An earner of $301,450 from five outs, he will be stretching out in distance off of his third-place finish, 1 3/4 lengths behind winner Eye On The Card, in the 400-yard, $1-million Rainbow Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs on July 24.

Getthere Fast's season record also includes a second-place run, 1 1/4 lengths behind winner Otts Boy, in the 350-yard, $1-million Ruidoso Futurity (G1) on June 12. The gelding drew post 7 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa in Friday's seventh heat.

Hooked N Gone, one of four 2-year-olds supplemented to the trials for a $50,000 fee, drew post 5 and will be ridden by Justine Klaiber for owner Regina Laymon and trainer Eddie D. Willis in Friday's third trial. A homebred Pyc Paint Your Wagon gelding, Hooked N Gone has banked $150,850 from six races in Oklahoma and New Mexico, and he has won two races, including the 330-yard, $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile Invitational Stakes (R) for state-breds on April 16.

Saturday's trials feature multiple graded stakes winner Tres Crystals and graded stakes winner Otts Boy, and supplemental entries Eye On The Card and Cartel Kisses. A $30,000 purchase by Elizabeth Logan at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, Tres Crystals was the star of the Remington Park spring meet, as the gelded son of champion Tres Seis earned $658,167 and won all four of his outs, including the 300-yard, $441,000 Oklahoma Futurity (G2) in March, and the 350-yard, $1.112-million Heritage Place Futurity (G1) in May.

Tres Crystals drew post 3 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa for trainer Dee Keener in Saturday's 11th heat.

Otts Boy is an unbeaten son of the Corona Cartel stallion Mr Ottyes trained by Toby Keeton for owner Luke R. Goebel. The gelding will be making his first start since June 12, when he scored a clear 1 1/4-length victory in the 350-yard, $1-million Ruidoso Futurity (G1).

Otts Boy drew post 6 and will be ridden by Ramon Sanchez in Saturday's 11th trial..

Eye On The Card is coming off of a three-quarter length victory in the 400-yard, $1-million Rainbow Futurity (G1) on July 24. The Docs Best Card colt is trained by Santos Carrizales Jr. for owner Omar Hernandez.

Eye On The Card drew post 2 and will be ridden by Juan Pulido in Saturday's ninth heat.

A Kiss My Hocks filly trained by Heath Taylor for owners Larry L. and Roberta Parker-Rice, Cartel Kisses brings in a three-race win streak that includes a neck victory in the July 24, $100,000 Rainbow Juvenile Invitational Stakes at Ruidoso Downs, and a half-length win in the May 28, $68,000 Easy Jet Stakes (RG3) for Oklahoma-breds at Remington Park.

Cartel Kisses was a $50,000 buy at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale. The filly drew post 3 and will be ridden by Rodrigo Vallejo in Saturday's fourth trial.
