First of 15, Ima Dashin Follie Set to Rematch in Skip Zimmerman at Canterbury Park

SHAKOPEE, MN—AUGUST 9, 2019—Some of the best older horses of the meet will compete in the 350-yard $25,000 Skip Zimmerman Stakes on Sunday afternoon at Canterbury Park.

Five of the eight entries are fillies or mares, including Ima Dashin Follie, who returns as the most recent stakes winner in the field. The 5-year-old mare won the $17,700 Dash In A Flash Stakes on July 13, breaking the track record at 110 yards in the process. The Bob Johnson trainee is six for ten in the money at Canterbury Park.

One of three entries from the Jason Olmstead barn, First of 15 was a close second in the Dash in a Flash Stakes. The Apollitical Jess filly has earnings of over $165,000 after multiple stakes appearances, including a win in the 2018 Gopher State Derby at Canterbury and a second-place finish in the Decketta (G3) at Remington this spring.

Olmstead also trains Painted Dynasty, who is five for eight in the money at Canterbury Park, recently finished fourth in the ARC Canterbury Park Distaff Challenge and was third in the 2018 Adequan Derby Challenge (G3) at Los Alamitos. She also finished second in the Bob Moore Stakes (G2) this spring at Remington. The FDD Dynasty filly is out of Tygers Painted Girl, who is half-sister to 2016 Bank of America Challenge Championship winner Ajs High.

The $25,000 Skip Zimmerman Memorial is Race 2 on Sunday at Canterbury Park. Estimated post time is 1:19 pm CT.
