SELMA, TX—JUNE 22, 2017—A field of seven Texas-bred 3-year-olds, topped by Sarah Huskey’s Fdp Rock Solid, has been entered in Saturday’s 330-yard, $15,000 Ben E. Keith Stakes (R) at Retama Park.
A homebred son of Rock Solid Jess trained by Esteban Rubio, Fdp Rock Solid will be making his second start of the 2017 season. The gelding earned $177,212 from six outs during his 2-year-old season, and his four wins include the 440-yard, $303,000 Black Gold Futurity Championship (RG3) at Will Rogers Downs, and the 350-yard, $112,000 TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity (RG3) at Retama.
