Singles Cruise Headlines Adequan Grande Prairie Derby Challenge Trials

GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB, CANADA—JULY 12, 2019—Singles Cruise, a finalist in the February 9, $199,000 Los Alamitos Winter Derby (G1), is one of 10 sophomores entered in Sunday’s 400-yard Adequan Grande Prairie Derby Challenge trials at Evergreen Park.
Racing for Barry Sather and trainer Janice Sather, Singles Cruise is a California-bred daughter of Favorite Cartel. The filly has won eight of 15 starts, including three of four at Evergreen Park, and she has earned $91,884.
Singles Cruise drew post 5 and will be ridden by D.I. Benitez in the first of two trials.
The eight fastest qualifiers from Sunday’s trials will meet in the July 28 Adequan Grande Prairie Derby Challenge final.
