Runningallnight Runs To Fastest Time In John Deere Ruidoso Juvenile Challenge Trials

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—JULY 14, 2017—Dalia Aranda’s Runningallnight raced to his second win from as many starts while setting the fastest-qualifying time to the $59,850 John Deere Juvenile Challenge(G3) from six 350-yard trials on Friday afternoon at Ruidoso Downs.

The two-year-olds with the 10-fastest times in the trials advance to the Grade 3 John Deere Juvenile Challenge on July 29.

Runningallnight ran a virtually flawless race. He started with the leaders and then held safe second-fastest qualifier Feature Mr Gorgeous to win by a neck. Runningallnight was timed in :17.735 while Feature Mr Gorgeous was clocked in :17.783.

An athletic-looking colt by Stel Corona, Runningallnight has shown promise in each of his two starts. He won his debut by one-and-one-half lengths before taking his John Deere Juvenile Challenge trial for trainer Jose Luis Galvan.

Martha Wells bred the gray colt in Calfornia from the Walk Thru Fire Walking On Sunshine. Raul Herrera was aboard for the victory.

Rockin J Runnin Horses’ Feature Me Gorgeous has yet to win her maiden, however is a solid competitor with a promising future. The filly by second-crop sire Giorgino was also second in her previous start and has two runner-up finishes from three starts.

Jack Manning bred Feataure Me Gorgeous in Texas from Rebas Feature by Feature Mr Jess. Benito Jude Baca rode Feature Me Gorgeous.

Champion trainer Paul Jones saddled Apollitical Approach to his first win in the fifth trial to secure the third fastest time of :17.787 seconds. Raul Herra was aboard the homebred son of leading sire Apollitical Jess from the Panther Mountain mare Panther Not A Kitty. Peggy and George Cob own the Oklahoma-bred gelding.

Also getting his first career win was Syms Tlc, a Texas-bred son of third-crop sire The Louisiana Cartel out of Symphonic by Stoli. John Stinebaugh conditions the gelding, who posted the fourth fastest time of :17.830 seconds, for owner Louis Howard.

Carly Moody is the breeder and champion jockey G.R. Carter, Jr. was riding.
