Phoebesdynasty Is Winner of Rillito Bonus Challenge After Disqualification of Captain On Takeoff

TUCSON, AZ—MARCH 13, 2017—Phoebesdynasty, a daughter of World Champion FDD Dynasty, has been named the winner of the February 18th $13,650 Rillito Bonus Challenge Stakes (not black type) this week after winner Captain On Takeoff was disqualified for a positive test. The purse has been redistributed.

Trainer Cody Reynolds trains Phoebesdynasty for owner/breeder Kirk Goodfellow. Ridden by jockey Mauro Salcedo, the 4-year-old mare picked up her third career win and the $7,508 Challenge winners' purse boosts her earnings total to $53,335.

Goodfellow bred the stakes-placed filly in Oklahoma from the Special Effort mare My Special Phoebe.

Mr Jb Perry, ridden by jockey Julian Serrano and trained by Roy Ronquillo, was moved to second and earned $2,730. Ronald Beverly had the riding call. Armando Castellanos owns the Oklahoma bred son of Mr Jess Perry from the Chicks Beduino mare Jumpn Beduino. Bred in Oklahoma by Edward and Theresa Denike the 4-year-old has earned $9,497.

Maria Torres' Hope On The Rocks picked up $1,365 after being moved to third-place. Alex Torres-Casas trains the 5-year-old Fantastic Corona Jr mare out of Summertime Dash by Royal Quick Dash. Shaunda Laresen was aboard the Azevedo-Boyles Trust and Paul Jones California-bred.

Jess Call Me Fancy, Specials Gold, Pony Drive, Askin For Trouble and Captain On Takeoff completed the official order of finish.

Trainer Thomas Moreno saddled the disqualified Captain On Takeoff for owner Joel Merino Gamez.
