OGDEN, UT—JUNE 4, 2016—Ss Paydirt and Mypassionspeed each won a division of the $7,675 AQHA/UQHRA Bonus Challenge (not black type) Saturday afternoon at Webber Downs Saturday afternoon.
Ss Paydirt posted a half-length win in the first division for owner/breeder Richard Frandsen and trainer Jessica Hadley. The son of Carters Cartel completed the 350 yards in :17.641 seconds, a 106-speed index over a fast racetrack.
Ridden by Jordan Hadley, Ss Paydirt picked up his eight win in 18 starts and $3,838 winner's purse boosted his career earnings to $132,193. The graded stakes winner is out of Mia Ta Fame, by Dash Ta Fame.
Million Dollar Kiss finished second and Lets Fight was third.
In the second division, Abelardo Gonzalez 5-year-old My Passion Speed held off Gallant Mystic by a neck. Luis Gonzalez trains the FDD Dynasty gelding out of A Blast Of Fast, by Chicks Beduino. Jesus Valenzuela had the riding call.
Also a multiple stakes winner, My Passion Speed has won six of 19 starts and earned $37,171. Kirk Goodfellow bred the gelding in Oklahoma.
Pf Flyair finished three-quarter off Gallant Mystic for third.
