Challenge Enrollment Deadline Thursday

Q-RACING JOURNAL—DECEMBER 28, 2015—The deadline to enroll horses in the Bank of America Racing Challenge is fast approaching. Make sure all of your 2015 foals are enrolled in the Challenge program as well as any yearlings you plan to race or sell. The lifetime enrollment fee for a 2015 foal (weanling) is only $300, and $600 for a yearling (2014 foal), if made by the December 31 deadline.

In 2015, the Racing Challenge hosted over 120 races at 50 tracks through regional Challenge races, John Deere Bonus Challenge races, Maiden Challenge races and the Bank of America Challenge Championships.

The Racing Challenge is the American Quarter Horse industry’s most inclusive and important racing program available anywhere today.

Facts:

  • More than half of total purses and awards are provided by sources other than horsemen, thanks to our generous corporate partners.
  • 100% of all enrollment and nomination fees go directly to the purse fund. There are no deductions for administrative or promotional fees.
  • At major 2015 sales, average prices for Challenge-enrolled horses were higher than horses that were not enrolled in the Challenge, including some of the highest-priced horses sold this year.
  • Total Challenge purses and awards will exceed $5 million in 2016.
  • As the original enroller, you are entitled to a 7% enrollment award for the life of the horse, regardless of ownership.

Racing Challenge enrollment is an investment in your horses’ future and provides them with racing opportunities for all ages and abilities.

Please call the Challenge hotline at (877) 222-7223 to enroll your horses.
