CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 24, 2015—Garrett Baker’s Just Eagle, a stakes-winning daughter of One Famous Eagle, is one of 25 sophomores entered in Sunday’s 400-yard Adequan Will Rogers Derby Challenge trials at Will Rogers Downs.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $32,500-added final on October 11.

Just Eagle will be making her first start since July 25, when the filly scored a neck victory in the 350-yard, $47,000 Speedhorse Derby at Fair Meadows at Tulsa. The filly drew post 4 and will be ridden by Jesus Salazar for trainer Donnie Strickland in the first of three trials.

Also on Sunday, a total of 58 2-year-olds has been entered in eight 350-yard John Deere Will Rogers Juvenile Challenge trials.

Hay Racing’s Queen Catherine, a sorrel daughter of Freighttrain B trained by Kasey Willis, drew the rail post in heat 6. The filly has earned $42,768 from six outs, and her two wins include a half-length win in the 350-yard, $75,000 John Deere Ruidoso Juvenile Challenge (G3) on August 1.

Cesar Gomez will ride Queen Catherine on Sunday.
