AJs High Returns in Adequan Prairie Meadows Derby Challenge Trials
BY MICHAEL CUSORTELLI
ALTOONA, IA—AUGUST 24, 2015—AJs High, a stakes winner during the Remington Park spring meet, is one of 14 sophomores entered in Friday’s Adequan Prairie Meadows Derby Challenge trials.
The 10 fastest qualifiers from Friday’s 400-yard trials will meet in the $30,000-added final on September 12.
AJs High is trained by Charley Hunt for owner Michael Teel, who also bred the gelded son Apollitical Jess. AJs High has won two of three starts this year, including the April 18, $306,000 Remington Park Derby (RG3) for Oklahoma-breds.
AJs High drew the rail post and will be ridden by Stormy Smith in the first of two trials.
All Prairie Meadows races can be seen at Q-RacingVideo.com.
