Jess Too Tempting Fastest In G.C.F.A. Maiden Challenge Trials

FREDRICKSBURG, TX—JULY 5, 2015—Jess Too Tempting defeated Crazy For James by a nose in the second of two trials Sunday for the G.C.F.A. Maiden Challenge at the Gillespie County Fairground. His :18.039 clocking for the 350 yards was the fastest time.

Yoni Martinez conditions the 3-year-old son of champion Tempting Dash for owner Jerry Chapman. Chapman was the co-breeder of the Texas-bred gelding with Wayne Hyde. He is out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Ms West Jess.

Jess Too Tempting's record stands at (9) 2-0-4 with earnings of $7,795. He was third it the Sam Houston Maiden Challenge in May.

Still a maiden from seven starts the aforementioned Crazy For James has finished second three times. Ridden by jockey Armando Lujan, Crazy For James held on to the second fastest time of :18.044 seconds. Candelario G. Montes, Jr. saddled the Ivory James 3-year-old for owner Daniela Montes. Christie and Mike Donahue bred the filly in Oklahoma from Cuz Shez Crazy, by Skirt Chasin Alibi.
