Bh Lisas Boy Gets Fifth-Straight In Adequan West/Southwest Derby Challenge Victory

AURORA, CO—JUNE 6, 2015—Barbara Davis and Bill Holburg's Bh Lisa Boy overcame a crowed start gamely to defeat Lotta Dynasty by a head in Saturday's $32,6770 Adequan West/Southwest Derby Challenge at Arapahoe Park. Rare Scheme finished half-a-length back in third.

Ridden by jockey Francisco Giles, Bh Lisas Boy completed the 400 yards in :19.634 seconds to earn a 97 speed index with a 12 mph tailwind. Also trained by Bill Holburg, the son of Mighty Invictus

BhLisasBoy_WSWADWC.jpg has not lost a race since September 2014. Saturday's victory was his third straight stakes victory and fifth consecutive win from eight career starts. The $19,602 Adequan winner's purse boosted his career total to $43,577 He also secured a starting spot in the $200,000 Adequan Derby Challenge Championship(G2) at Lone Star Park on November 7 in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Lotta Dynasty vied throughout for owner/breeders George and Judy Weldon and trainer Blake Rust. Benito Baca had the riding call aboard the FDD Dynasty gelding out of Gotta Lotta Fame, by Dash Ta Fame. A stakes winner last season, Lotta Dynasty earned $6,534 for the effort.

Also a homebred, Rare Scheme races for Richard and Genevieve Herrman. Hipolito Michel-Valverde conditions the Pyc Paint Your Wagon colt out of Rarest Daisy, by Rare Form. Ridden by Russell Vicchrilli, he earned $3,267.

Sweet Solid Rock, Dashin Cherry, Hey Hey Hey Hey, Make Em Believe, Perrys Glory and Jess One Kiss completed the field.
