Opening Night Of The Fall Meeting Of Champions Kicks Off With Early Post!

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—SEPTEMBER 15, 2021—Friday is Opening Night on our 2021 Fall Meeting of Champions and with 14 Dash for Cash Futurity Trials (see related story) on the race card, we're kicking it off early. Gates open Friday at 4 p.m. First race post time is 5:05 p.m.

The 14 trial races have attracted a total of 128 juveniles all competing to be one of the 10 fastest of the night. That's what it's going to take to earn the right to compete for the big prize, which is the Grade 2, $400,000 Estimated Dash for Cash Futurity final. The final is scheduled on Saturday, October 2.

Of the 128 entered, six will be racing for the first time. Four have perfect records, two have raced once and won, and two have raced twice and won both. 61 of them have raced one or more times, but have yet to cross the finish line first. This could create some great opportunities for some big pay offs.

There are a few accomplished horses to keep your eyes on. In the first race Sunkisssed Jess, breaking from post position eight, won her trial at Delta Downs in June, which put her in the Firecracker Futurity in July where she finished third.

In race two Kas Shes Ec won her trials for both the Juvenile Challenge and the TQHA Sires Futurity and she finished second in both. All at Sam Houston Race Park earlier this year.

The most accomplished two horses happened to draw into the same trial, Race 10. Hock It to You, by Kiss My Hocks, is the top earner of all 128 entries boasting a total of $389,262 and Don McCrocklin, by Dash Master Jess, comes is second with total earnings of $220,410.

However Don McCrocklin's race record is four wins from five starts whereas Hock It to you has three wins and three seconds from six starts. The one time these two met was in the TQHA Sale Futurity at Sam Houston at the end of July. Don McCrocklin won the Grade 2 event. Hock It to You was second.

Make your plans now to be here for all of these heart stopping races! You don't want to miss the fast paced action for one minute.
