SHAKOPOEE, MN—SEPTEMBER 21, 2020—Corey Wilmes' VO Fantastic Aira was named Quarter Horse of the Meet during Canterbury Park's 2020 meet, which ended Thursday.

A 3-year-old son of the Corona Cartel stallion Fantastic Corona Jr trained by Ed Hardy, VO Fantastic Aira earned $50,301 from five starts during the season, and his four wins included a nose victory as the odds-on favorite in the 400-yard, $67,250 Minnesota Derby (R) on September 9.

VO Fantastic Aira was bred in Minnesota by Rodney Von Ohlen.

Nik Goodwin was Canterbury Park's leading Quarter Horse jockey with 10 wins from 32 mounts. Jason Olmstead topped all Canterbury Quarter Horse trainers with 19 wins from 103 starters. Wilmes led all Quarter Horse owners with six wins from 15 starters.
