Services Set Today for Myrna Rheudasil

Services Set Today for Myrna Rheudasil

DALLAS, TX—NOVEMBER 20, 2017—A celebration of life for longtime Texas horsewoman Myrna Rheudasil will be held at noon today (Monday) for Myrna Carole Rheudasil, 78. She passed away Wednesday following complications from a stroke she suffered on November 4.

Services will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest at 7405 W Northwest Hwy Dallas, TX 75225. A Reception will follow.

After moving to Lewisville, Texas she became a top producing realtor and later became very successful in breeding and racing Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds on countless tracks around the nation.

Myrna was also part of a group who was instrumental in bringing pari-mutuel betting to Texas and the establishment of Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie.

She bred in full or with partnerships such stakes winners Showboat Six ($280,771), XO Kate ($242,302), Shiny Six ($170,874), Yankee Dash ($149,362), Flashback Dash ($80,187) and stakes-placed runners Stack The Coins, Red Hot Hit and Cashinon.

Myrna is survived by Jay Roberts of Dallas, and her sisters Norma Thompson of Friona Texas and JoAnn Gordoni of Norman Oklahoma.

She was proceeded in Death by her parents Wilbur and Velma Thompson of Ada Oklahoma, and her Brother Charles Thompson of Duncan Oklahoma. Myrna leaves many nephews, nieces, and countless adoring friends.
