The post-position draw for the Bank of America Championship will be held Wednesday (Oct. 11) at the Prairie Meadows.

Bank of America Challenge Championship Probable Entries

ALTOONA, IA—OCTOBER 6, 2017—Horses eligible to enter for the 2017 Bank of America Challenge Championships, to be conducted Saturday, October 14 at Prairie Meadows in Altoona, have been named.

This is the third time the Midwest track hosts the prestigious event, which brings many of the best American Quarter Horses from around the world together for a night of championship racing. The big day, October 14, opens with an Owner’s Recognition Brunch at 10 a.m., to celebrate the connections of all the championship horses. The main event begins with first post at 6 p.m.

The Bank of America Challenge Championship races consist of:

  • $105,000-guaranteed AQHA Distance Challenge Championship (G1)
  • $180,000-guaranteed Adequan® Derby Challenge Championship (G3)
  • $130,000-guaranteed John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship (G2)
  • $105,000-guaranteed Boehringer Ingelheim Distaff Challenge Championship (G1)
  • $330,000-guaranteed Bank of America Challenge Championship (G1)

Also on the card are the $110,000-est. Polk County Derby, $175,000-est. Jim Bader Futurity, $120,000-est. Altoona Derby and $270,000-est. Valley Junction Futurity.

The post-position draw for the Bank of America Championship will be held Wednesday (Oct. 11) at the racetrack.
