PHOENIX, AZ—OCTOBER 20, 2016—Ricardo Ramirez of Phoenix, Arizona has purchased stakes winner and multiple graded–placed Eyesa Famous Eagle. The 5-year-old son of leading sire One Famous Eagle is expected to make his next start in the October 29th Grade 1 $350,000 Bank of America Challenge Championship at Los Alamitos Race Course. Havid Canez will continue as the horses' trainer.

Eyesa Famous Eagle will be hoping to exact a little revenge in the Challenge Championship after finishing second to Daytona B in last years Grade 1 $350,000 Bank of America Challenge Championship at Lone Star Park. Leading jockey Cruz Mendez is expected to be named to ride.

A strong participant in the AQHA Racing Challenge program, Eyesa Famous Eagle has also won the Bank of America Turf Paradise Challenge Championship-twice (2015-2016), won the Adequan Los Alamitos Derby Challenge (2014) and was second in the Adequan Derby Challenge Championship(G3) (2014) at Prairie Meadows.

The sorrel gelding has compiled a (25) 5-8-6 record while banking $213,022. He was also second in the Sawgrass Stakes at Hialeah Park, third in the AQRA-Turf Paradise Futurity and a finalist in the TQHA Classic Stakes(RG3).

Burnett Ranches LLC bred Eyesa Famous Eagle from the Eyesa Special mare Eyesa Glass. He was a $7,200 Heritage Place September Sale graduate in 2012.

The winner of the Grade 1 Bank of America Challenge Championship will earn a berth in the Grade 1 $500,000 Champion of Champions to be Saturday, December 10th at Los Alamitos Race Course.
