Q-RACING JOURNAL—AUGUST 24, 2016—American Quarter Horse Youth Association members have the opportunity to experience American Quarter Horse racing through the AQHYA National Racing Experience held during the Bank of America Challenge Championships October 26-29 at Los Alamitos Race Course in Los Alamitos, California.

In the days leading up to the Bank of America Challenge Championships, attendees of the AQHYA National Racing Experience will get backside-of-the-track and front-office experiences to introduce them to the sport of racing. Attendees get a true behind-the-scenes look into the industry.

To participate, youth must be at least 16 years old as of January 1, 2016. Racing affiliates can send one youth from their AQHYA Regional Racing Experience by sending in their application by September 1. Youth can also apply to be an at-large participant. To apply, AQHA must receive the application by September 1, as well. No exceptions will be made.

Financial Aid Opportunity
Scholarships worth $6,000 will be awarded based on the youths’ overall scores through evaluation of each participant’s workbook, quiz and test scores from throughout the educational experience.
