OPELOUSAS, LA—JULY 27, 2016—Evangeline Downs’ racing secretary Corey Veazey has announced that stall applications for its 2016 American Quarter Horse season are due by Wednesday, August 17.

The track is currently racing Thoroughbreds through August 27 but preparations are being made for its 46-day straight-line season which will encompass 46 dates from September 28 through December 17.

Stall applications are available online at www.evdracing.com under the ‘Horsemen’s Info’ section. Completed applications can be dropped off at the track’s racing office or they can also be faxed to 337-594-3166. To contact the racing office directly call 337-594-3022.

The 2016 American Quarter Horse season at Evangeline Downs is expected to be one of the track’s best ever as it will offer exciting action each Wednesday through Saturday night starting at 5:35 pm Central Time. The richest race of the season happens on November 19th when the hosts the $1 million Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Futurity for 2-year-olds.
