AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION—JULY 27, 2016—Sunday's Rainbow Futurity (G1) victory by A Revenant propelled the son of Mr Jess Perry to the No. 1 spot in this week's AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Poll for 2-year-olds. Runner-up in the Ruidoso Futurity (G1) in June, the Oklahoma-bred has won three of four starts on the season and supplanted Heritage Place Futurity (G1) hero Duponte for the top perch.

As for the older horses this week, Zoomin Effortlessly and Jess Good Candy continue to tighten their race in the balloting as the top two vote-getters. Zoomin Effortlessly holds a slimming, 104-101 edge. Meanwhile, Saturday's Rainbow Derby (G1) victor Valiant Rogue rose all the way to No. 3 this week. He romped by 1 3/4 lengths in his biggest career score while advancing his record this season to three wins and a runner-up from four starts.
