All American Champ Returns to National Poll Rankings

Q-RACING JOURNAL—APRIL 27, 2016—Jess Good Candy, winner of last year's All American Futurity (G1) and the sport’s reigning champion 2-year-old, returned to the races Sunday at Remington Park with a victory in the Mr Master Bug Handicap (R).

Pollsters in the AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Poll rewarded him with a No. 9 national ranking this week after that seasonal debut. Jess Good Candy now has won all five career starts and next will take aim at the trials for the Ruidoso Derby (G1).

Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1) winner Moonist continues to pace the rankings at No. 1, just as he has in every poll this season. Once Over was the only other newcomer to the Top 10 this week after the 7-year-old scored the West Texas Maturity (G2) by a nose.

The debut of the season's national 2-year-old rankings will begin in early May.
