RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—AUGUST 27, 2015—America’s racing sensation — Triple Crown winner American Pharoah — is entered to race in the Grade 1, $1.6 million Travers Stakes at Saratoga on Saturday and there will be simulcast wagering at Ruidoso Downs.

First post time at Ruidoso Downs is 1 p.m. with free parking and free general admission.

He is the overwhelming 1-5 morning-line favorite and is racing for his ninth-straight victory.

Zayat Stables’ American Pharoah lost his first start and has not been beaten since that maiden race a year ago. He has currently won five straight Grade 1 races. His Grade 1 wins came in the Arkansas Derby, Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes and the Haskell Invitational for trainer Bob Baffert. Baffert was previously a champion Quarter Horse trainer.

American Pharoah arrived at Saratoga on Wednesday. He had a short gallop over the track on Thursday morning and is expected to take a longer gallop on Friday morning when the track will be restricted to Travers competitors for 15 minutes.
