Remington Park’s Historic Richest Night Of Racing Is Set For May 30

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 22, 2015—The final night of the prestigious 2015 American Quarter Horse Season at Remington Park features the rich “Mega-Card” of stakes events. Totaling $2,335,710, the 12-race program for Saturday, May 30 will be the richest card of racing in the 28-year history of Remington Park.

The “Mega-Card” this season boasts higher purses than the similar program conducted in 2013 when the night totaled $2,093,215. This year’s program is boosted by two races that will carry their highest purses ever. The Grade 1, $1,170,000 Heritage Place Futurity and the Grade 2, $369,910 Heritage Place Derby both set new marks for purse amounts. The previous high for the futurity was $1,107,000 in 2009 while the highest derby took place in 2010 at $291,000.

The Grade 1, $250,000 Remington Park Championship heads the rest of the “Mega-Card” which also includes the Grade 1, $213,500 Speedhorse Graham Paint/Appaloosa Futurity and the $100,000 Heritage Place Juvenile. The Grade 2, $50,000 Junos Request Stakes, the Grade 3, $50,000 Remington Park Distance Championship and the Grade 3, $50,000 Easy Jet Stakes round out the stakes on May 30.

Remington Park will begin the Saturday, May 30 program at 5pm Central. After a pair of maiden races, a starter allowance and an allowance race to begin the night, the program will close out with the following eight consecutive stakes races:

  • Race 5, Grade 3, $50,000 Easy Jet Stakes, 6:52pm
  • Race 6, $100,000 Heritage Place Juvenile, 7:20pm
  • Race 7, Grade 3, $50,000 Junos Request Stakes, 7:48pm
  • Race 8, Grade 1, $213,500 Speedhorse Graham Paint/Appaloosa Futurity, 8:16pm
  • Race 9, Grade 1, $1,170,000 Heritage Place Futurity, 8:52pm
  • Race 10, Grade 2, $369,910 Heritage Place Derby, 9:28pm
  • Race 11, Grade 1, $250,000 Remington Park Championship, 10:04pm
  • Race 12, Grade 3, $50,000 Remington Park Distance Championship, 10:37pm
