HIALEAH, FL—MAY 26, 2015—Hialeah Park and FQHRA released it's 2015/2016 stakes schedule last week that includes $5.6 million in purse money for the 40 day meet set to kick-off December 26th and run through February 29, 2016. The track will average daily purses of $140,000 and $15,000 trial purses for it's major stakes races.

Highlighting the 2015/2016 schedule will the $500,000-est. Hialeah Derby for foals of 2013. Trials will be contested on December 27 and the $200,000-added 400 yard final will run January 17.

• Hialeah El Niño Invitational - Jan. 17, 2016 - $40,000 Guaranteed 400 yards for foals of 2013. Horses that entered but did not qualify for the Hialeah Derby are preferred

• FQHRA Stallion Stakes Derby $95,000 Est.
  350 yards for foals of 2013 sired by eligible stallions
  Trials: Dec. 28, 2015, purse $12,000
  Finals: Jan. 17, 2016, purse $50,000 Added

• Sunshine State Derby $200,000 Guaranteed
  400 yards for accredited Florida Bred foals of 2013
  Trials: Feb. 6, 2016, purse $12,000
  Finals: Feb. 27, 2016

• South Florida Quarter Horse Derby $250,000 Est.
  440 yards for Foals of 2013
  Trials: Feb. 7, 2016, purse $15,000
  Finals: Feb. 28, 2016, purse $100,000 Added

• South Florida Quarter Horse Invitational - Feb. 27, 2016 - $30,000 Guaranteed
  440 yards for foals of 2013 that entered but did not Horses that did not qualify for the South Florida Quarter Horse Derby are preferred>

  • $250,000-est. Hialeah Maturity ($100,000-added)
