Q-RACING JOURNAL—APRIL 22, 2015—No less than four newcomers made a splash in this week's AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com national polls, led by a rise all the way to No. 2 among the older horses by Daytona B.

The Texas-bred notched his second stakes win of 2015 when breaking a 6˝ -year-old track record at Sam Houston by winning the $105,840 Bank of America Sam Houston Championship Challenge (G2). Daytona B stopped the clock in :21.276 to set the new 440-yard standard at the track, and moved up five spots this week from No. 7. He trails only Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1) heroine Matabari in this week's rankings for 3-year-olds and older.

Sophomore AJs High debuted in the rankings at No. 9 this week, following a victory in the Remington Park Oklahoma-bred Derby (RG3) on Saturday. He's now won five straight, going back to August of last year, a streak that includes the John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship (G2).

Two juveniles debuted in this week's rankings for the 2-year-olds, which once again are led by top-rated Tee Chic. The fresh faces are topped by No. 3 Regard With Respect, winner of the Remington Park Oklahoma-bred Futurity (RG2). Also Wyld Bleu Yonder, runner-up by a neck to Regard With Respect, shot into the poll at No. 9.
