Spicy Chile Draws Post 4 for $60,066 Alberta Bred Futurity

EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA—SEPTEMBER 23, 2020—Spicy Chile, a stakes-winning daughter of the Favorite Cartel stallion Cowboy 109 racing for Bob McCutcheon, drew post 4 for Friday’s 350-yard, $60,066 Alberta Bred Futurity (RG3) at Century Mile.

Spicy Chile has earned $17,364 from three starts, and her two wins include a half-length victory in the 300-yard, $42,000 Alberta Stallion Futurity (R) on August 7. The homebred filly will be ridden by Blandford Stewart for trainer Buckey Stockwell.

Fastest qualifier Eyesa Timber, a homebred son of First Timber owned and trained by Wesley Oulton, drew post 7 and will be ridden by Jose Rocha. The gelding has banked $14,845 from five outs, and he made his local debut with a clear 1 3/4-length victory in the first of two trials on September 11.
