GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—SEPTEMBER 22, 2020—Gilbert Pacheco III’s Trump My Record, a 10,700 yearling purchase and last year’s champion 2-year-old gelding, is one of 10 3-year-olds entered back in Sunday’s 440-yard, $135,700 Dash For Cash Derby (G2) at Lone Star Park.

A gelded son of Apollitical Blood trained by Jose Luis Sanchez III, Trump My Record has won three of his four races this season, including the 400-yard, $201,000 Firecracker Derby at Delta Downs on August 15.

All told, he has won 11 of 14 starts and has banked $901,992, and his three wins in five outs at Lone Star include a half-length score in last year’s 400-yard, $905,000 Texas Classic Futurity (G1).

Trump My Record drew the rail post and will be ridden by Eddie Sanchez.

A Painted Dynasty will put his three-race win streak on the line from post 7 under jockey Victor Urieta Jr. A bay son of champion FDD Dynasty trained by Alonso Neri for owner David Gutierrez, the gelding is coming off of a Retama Park summer season during which he won both of his outs, including the 400-yard, $57,000 Adequan Retama Derby Challenge on July 25.
