Ten 2-Year-Olds Entered Back in Grade 2, $364,095 Dash For Cash Futurity

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—SEPTEMBER 22, 2020—Ten 2-year-olds, headed by fastest qualifier Big Monkey, are entered back in Sunday’s 400-yard, $364,095 Dash For Cash Futurity (G2) at Lone Star Park.

A homebred son of Capo de Capi owned and trained by Dean Frey, Big Monkey has won his last three starts, including the first of 11 Dash For Cash Futurity trials on September 13. The gray gelding’s win streak includes a neck victory in the 350-yard, 89,000 John Deere Ruidoso Juvenile Challenge (G3) at Ruidoso Downs.

Big Monkey drew post 9 and will be ridden by Benito Baca. His nine opponents include graded stakes winner One Incredible Hock and stakes winner Pyc Painted Streaker. A $15,000 purchase at last year’s Heritage Place Yearling Sale, One Incredible Hock is a Kiss My Hocks colt trained by Adrian Huitron for owners Maria Gama and Hernan Medrano.

One Incredible Hock has earned $125,976 from six outs in Oklahoma and Texas, and his four wins include a three-quarter length victory in the August 29, $221,000 TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity (RG2) at Retama Park.

One Incredible Hock drew post 10 and will be ridden by Nestor Duran.

Pyc Painted Streaker is an undefeated son of Pyc Paint Your Wagon trained by Angel Sanchez for owner Valerie Moya. The bay gelding has won all three of his starts, including the 350-yard, $91,000 Gillespie County Fair Firecracker Futurity in July, and he has banked $39,790.

Pyc Painted Streaker drew post 3 and will be ridden by Jose I. Martinez.

Also on Sunday, Juan Manuel Pastrana’s Greysland heads a field of 10 2-year-olds entered back in the 400-yard, $40,455 Dash For Cash Juvenile Stakes. A brown daughter of Kiss My Hocks trained by Alonso Neri and a $15,000 purchase at last year’s TQHA Yearling Sale, Greysland is coming off of a summer campaign during which she ran second, a half of a length behind winner Cruzin Cartel, in the 350-yard, $406,000 TQHA Sale Futurity (RG1). The filly drew post 2 and will be ridden by Victor Urieta Jr.
