She will make her first career start after working 220 yards in a turn and work at Los Alamitos in a time of :12.90 on May 16. Both of her two gate drills were posted at Turf Paradise prior to arriving at Los Alamitos. The filly by Fast Prize Cartel’s most recent was a :12.44 gate work at Turf Paradise on March 7. She was purchased for $6,500 at the Los Alamitos Equine Sale.

Arizona-bred filly by Texas Icon faced the Mexico-bred Big Fabuloso in this May 26th drill. She came away nicely out of the gate before bobbling slightly a few strides into her workout. She was even with her rival at this point before showing nice, long strides during the second half of the drill. She powered away from Big Fabuloso in the final stages, crossing the wire 1 Ύ lengths ahead of her rival and then continuing with a smooth gallop out in this 12.9 drill.

#5 Abbyslovintherain – May 9 :12.60 – Inside Horse

The filly sired by the Thoroughbred Stellar Rain took on the Apollitical Jess gelding Apollitical Freedown in this workout. Abbyslovintherain was slow out of the gate and was bumped by her outside rival. She had a little more racing room after the gap but continued to have rival breathing right next to her the entire way. The two continued in a dog fight, crossing the wire in unison and galloping evenly the entire way. They both finished with a time of :12.60, the 10th fastest of 20 works on May 9.

RACE 8 – Maidens, 2-Year-Olds - 300 Yards
#1 Eagles Royal Dynasty – May 16 :12.80 – Outside Horse

A $27,000 purchase at the Los Alamitos Equine Sale, the FDD Dynasty gelding finished ahead of Jess Good Corona in this drill on May 16. Starting from the outside post, Eagles Royal Dynasty broke to the inside and bumped his rival about five yards after the start. He continued drifting inside while racing with his head pointing to the grandstand side of the track. Eagles Royal Dynasty straightened out about 70 yards into the workout and began to pick up speed at the hallway point of the workout. He drifted inside once again in the final stages of the work while finishing with good energy when crossing the wire 2 ½ lengths ahead of Jess Good Corona. Eagles Royal Dynasty finished with the 13th fastest of 23 drills.

#2 Fox Fan – May 9 :12.80 – Outside Horse

Was outworked by stablemates Kool Interest and Harison, the latter being his full-brother and a maiden winner here on Sunday, May 24. Working from the outside post, Fox Fan stood nicely awaiting the start of the drill and left the gate cleanly before drifting in. He was corrected left-handed and found himself evenly with Harison while both trailed Kool Interest. Fox Fan began to lose ground and eventually hit the wire a length behind Kool Interest and a half-length behind Harison in a time of :12.80.

#4 Reason To Stay In – April 16 :12.50 – Middle Horse
VIDEO LINK
Worked as part of a three-team set that also featured impressive maiden winner Apollitical Patty, who will win this drill from the inside, and Favorite Colossus, who will work from the outside. Reason To Stay In left the gate nicely while trailing Apollitical Patty early on. She will be asked right-handed after the start and will then float out while continuing nicely. She finished a length behind Apollitical Patty, but outworked Favorite Colossus by a half-length. Reason To Stay In came back to work with Apollitical Patty on April 30, finishing approximately two lengths behind her that morning. The video work from this drill is not available.
