Six-Figure Ruidoso Yearling Graduates Head Wednesday and Thursday Training Races at Remington Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 17, 2020—Three six-figure Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduates will go to post during two-days of training races to be held this week at Remington Park.

Seven training races have been carded for Wednesday and Thursday. All races will be contested at 250 yards. First post is set for 11:00 a.m. (CST).

Trainer Blane Wood will saddle $100,000 Ruidoso Sale graduate Republic Anne in the Race 2 on Wednesday for owners Todd and Jean Brasley. The daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess is the first foal from the Grade 1-placed First Fancy Racy, a Carters Cartel daughter who was second in the Texas Classic Futurity(G1) and a finalist in the All American Derby(G1).

Bred by Bobby D. Cox, Republic Anne is from the immediate family of champion filly Miss Racy Jess and champion aged mare One Sweet Racy. The brown filly will start from post #7.

The second six-figure yearling to go on Wednesday is Big Cash Cartel, a son of leading sire Corona Cartel out of Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winner Big Biz Perry, by Mr Jess Perry.

Cavenaugh Quarter Horses, LLC paid $115,000 for the bay colt from the consignment of Juliana Hawn Holt. Clint Crawford will saddle from post #3.Big Cash Cartel is from the family of champions Deceptively and Runnning Brook Gal.

A Dash Of Sign, a $125,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate, will head seven training races on Thursday at Remington Park for 2-year-olds.

Trainer Mike Robbins will saddle A Dash Of Sign for owner Reliance Ranches LLC. The daughter of champion/champion sire Tempting Dash is from the first crop out of the Tres Seis mare A Tres Of Paint, winner of the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Derby(RG3) and runner-up in the Heritage Place Futurity(G1).

Bred in Oklahoma by Mixer Ranch, this is the immediate family of Ruidoso Futurity(G1) winner First Valiant Sign, Champion of Champions winner Mr Pyc To You and champion The Fiscal Cliff.

The 50-date live racing season will at Remington Park will get underway on March 6 at 6pm. The Opening Weekend also features trial racing for the historic Oklahoma Futurity on Saturday, March 7 at 4pm, and Sunday afternoon racing at 1:30pm on March 8.
