Dreams Divine Heads AB What A Runner Handicap On Saturday Night

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—JANUARY 23, 2020—Reliance Ranches’ Dreams Divine will make her first start since finishing second by a whisker in the $1,070,000 Ed Burke Million Futurity on June 23 when she headlines the running of the $15,000 AB What A Runner Handicap for 3-year-old fillies on Saturday at Los Alamitos.

Eight races are on tap with first post set for 6 p.m.

Cartel Jess Rockin finished as the nation’s top 2-year-old filly after winning the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity on December 15. During the first half of the year at Los Alamitos it was Dreams Divine who established herself as the top filly on the grounds.

The daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess finished third by a half-length in the Grade 2 Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity and then had the early lead before Flokie caught her late to win the Ed Burke by a nose.

The AB What A Runner has attracted a solid field that also features Ed Burke finalist Ventura Jess JQM, another daughter of Apollitical Jess , fresh off of an allowance win on January 4.

Wambui, a daughter of leading sire Favorite Cartel who was second to Grade 1 winner Runforyourlife in a futurity trial, and three others will also race.
