Lota Shakin Goin On Draws Post 9 for $139,875 Black Gold 350 Futurity

CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 20, 2019—Gerald W. Reed and Whiting Ranch's Lota Shakin Goin On, runner-up in the $895,210 Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity(RG2) last April, is one of 10 2-year-olds entered back in Sunday’s 350-yard, $139,875 Black Gold 350 Futurity (R) at Will Rogers Downs.

The bay son of leading third-crop sire Lota Pyc trained by Gerald W. Reed, Lota Shakin Goin On finished third in a blanket finish to Mr Dillard and Shaunda Got A Prize in his Black Gold 350 Futurity trial on September 7.

The gelding has banked $150,025 from five starts this season with a 1-1-1 record including finishing a head off Johnny de Capo in the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity (RG2).

Following two off-the-board performances at Ruidoso over the summer he returned to Oklahoma to get the fifth fastest qualifying time for the Black Gold 350 Championship Futurity.

Lota Shakin Going On drew post 9 and will be ridden by Rolando Raudales.

Fastest qualifier Cajun King is coming off of a dominating 1 ¼-length win in trials on September 7. A homebred son of The Louisiana Cartel is owned and raced by Abel Flores. The gelding drew post 6 for trainer Eddie D. Willis and will be ridden by Jimmy D. Brooks.
