Ten To Race In Miss Princess Handicap On Sunday

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—MAY 10, 2019—Five Los Alamitos stakes winners are among the 10 fillies and mares that will compete in the Grade 3, $50,000 Miss Princess Handicap at 350 yards on Sunday at Los Alamitos.

Racing for Mario Hurtado, Love To Reason BR figures to be one of the favorites after running fourth in the Grade 1 Charger Bar Handicap earlier this season. The Monty Arrossa-trainee is already a multiple stakes winner at Los Alamitos, posting victories against male rivals in the Blane Schvaneveldt Handicap on October 5 and then returning to score in the Grade 3 Las Damas Handicap here on November 24.

In her only outing of 2019, Love To Reason BR broke out and bumped, but still ran a formidable fourth to Thermonuclear Energy in the Charger Bar. Benny Rosset is the breeder of Love To Reason BR.

C.K. and Laurel Allen's Strawfinders Jessee is another multiple stakes winner racing in the Miss Princess, but she'll be looking for her first victory since the Mini Rock Handicap seven races ago in April 2018. Ed Allred's Time To Leave, winner of the Denim N Diamonds Handicap earlier this year, and Just Walk By, who outdueled Time To Leave in the Danville Station, are among the other top contenders in this race. Allred is also nearing $20 million in career earnings with his Quarter Horses and Time To Leave could take him over that mark with a victory.

Zendaya, winner of the Long Beach Handicap in 2015, plus recent allowance winner Madam Of Fire MV are two of the other contenders. Kiss N Air, Pick A Favorite, Newport Coaster and La Rusa will complete the field.
