CLAREMORE, OK—NOVEMBER 9, 2018—Three American Quarter Horse stakes, topped by the 440-yard, $266,765 Black Gold 440 Futurity Championship (R), are on the docket when Will Rogers Downs ends its fall meet with a 14-race program on Saturday.

Trainer Tammy Johnson will send out two finalists for owner Rockin J Running Horses, topped by 5-2 morning-line favorite Viva Le Don. A homebred son of Rock Solid Jess, Viva Le Don has won two of three starts during the Will Rogers Downs fall meet,including the September 23, $267,000 Black Gold 350 Futurity (R).

Viva Le Don drew post 3 and will be ridden by Randy Wilson.

Jose E. Guzman’s Temptingsecretfly, a homebred son of champion Tempting Dash trained by Amanda Tongay, drew post 10 and will be ridden by James Flores. The gelding has earned $109,621 from four starts, all in Oklahoma, and his season record includes a third-place finish in the 330-yard, $864,000 Remington Park Futurity (RG2) on April 21.

Also on Saturday, a full field of 10 Oklahoma-bred juveniles has been entered back in the 350-yard, $216,812 Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Futurity (RG3).

Fastest qualifier VF Jedi Returns, a sorrel son of High Rate Of Return trained by Samuel Valdivia for owner Julio Corral, drew post 2 and will be ridden by Jose Vega. A $9,700 purchase at last year’s Heritage Place Yearling Sale, the stakes-placed gelding has banked $91,749 from seven starts, and his five wins include a 1 3/4-length victory in the fourth of eight trials on October 26.

Kathleen Matey’s Trace Dynasty, a homebred daughter of champion FDD Dynasty, heads Saturday’s 350-yard, $89,680 Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Derby (R) for state-bred 3-year-olds. Trained by Clint Crawford, the filly has won both of her outs during the meet, including the 350-yard, $18,000 Miss Ellen Stakes for distaffers on September 9. Trace Dynasty drew post 6 and will be ridden by Omar Reyes.
