Remington Park Continues 2YO Training Races on Wednesday

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK-FEBRUARY 12, 2018--Remington Park will continue training races on Wednesday with 10 of the 11-race card for 2-year-olds Quarter Horses, Paints and Appaloosas. The final will race is for 3-year-old and up mixed.

First post will be 11:00 a.m. (CST). All races will be run at 250 yards.

A number of "summer sale" yearling graduates have been entered throughout the card. Three of those 2-year-olds will face off in Race 10.

Race 10 will feature the $46,000 Heritage Place Sales graduate Watah Flash for owner Lane and Sons and trainer Brian Muse. The son of champion/champion sire First Moonflash is a half-brother to Remington Park Futurity winner Lota Pyc; Jack Brooks Stakes(RG3) winner Regard Watah Dash In A Flash stakes winner Lota James; and stakes-placed Watah Success. The sorrel colt is from the Shazoom mare Lotawatah.

Also, in race 10 is the $39,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate Jess Show Me, a colt by Mr Jess Perry from the First Down Dash mare Show Me Delight. Wesley Giles conditions the half-brother to stakes-placed One Eyed Eagle for Jose Espinosa. This is the immediate family of stakes winners Joker On Jack, Jess Delightful, Runaway Fortune and Start The Commotion.

Another summer sale contender in Race 10 is Galaxy Speed. Luis Villafranco will saddle the colt by last year's leading sire of money earners Apollitical Jess from the stakes winning First Down Dash mare Catalina Fantasy. Owner Santos Lopez paid $37,000 at the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale for the gray colt from a sister to Grade 1 winner First Down Illusion.

In Race 5, Wes Giles will saddle Dor, a $37,000 Heritage Place September graduate, for owner Too For Two. The daughter of world champion sire FDD Dynasty is out of Remington Park Futurity(G1) winner First Prize Leesa. She is a half-sister to stakes winner First Prize Shaunda and Barrue.
