Parsons’ Homebred Filly Heads Allowance Feature On Saturday

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—JANUARY 6, 2018—Parsons Family Limited Partnership’s homebred filly Terrific Temptation finished her freshman campaign with a pair of strong performances in trial events.

The Tempting Dash filly won her trial to the PCQHRA  Breeders Futurity— although she missed making the final— and then followed it up by running third in a trial to the Golden State Million Futurity.

Terrific Temptation will now join a talented cast of newly turned sophomore fillies in Saturday’s featured $11,325 allowance at 300 yards. Out of the Grade 1 winning Mr Jess Perry mare Terrific Energy, Terrific Temptation is bred to run 350 to 400 yards, but she did scored a maiden win in her second career outing.

Few were more impressive early on last year than Paul Jones and Thompson Racing’s Summertime Favorite. The Favorite Cartel filly won her 300-yard career debut by 2-˝ lengths and then flew to win her trial to the Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity at the same distance. Summertime Favorite ended up third in the Kindergarten. She finished a nine-race campaign with good efforts in the Autumn Handicap and in her Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity trial, where she finished second to eventual final runner-up Moonie Blues.

Corona Chick Handicap runner-up Perfect Az Can Be, Governor’s Cup Futurity finalist One Sweet Barbie, Recking Ball, and Teller Shez First will also race.
