AJAX, ONTARIO, CANADA—SEPTEMBER 16, 2017—Ghost Pines, a homebred daughter of the Walk Thru Fire stallion Fire Finder, is the 3-1 morning-line favorite in Sunday’s 400-yard, $96,500 Picov Derby at Ajax Downs.

Raced exclusively at Ajax Downs, Ghost Pines has earned $32,345 from five starts, and her three wins include a a nose victory in the 350-yard, $63,000 Ontario Sires’ Derby (R) on July 16. The filly drew post 3 and will be ridden by Cory Spataro for trainer Michelle Woodley.

Milena Kwiecien’s LS Prince, a stakes-winning son of Louisiana Senator trained by Jason Pascoe, will be ridden by Josh Scott from post 6. LS Prince has won three races at Ajax Downs this season, including the 400-yard, $39,000 Adequan Ajax Derby Challenge Stakes on August 13.

One Famous Glass heads a full field of 10 aged runners in Sunday’s 350-yard, $37,200 All Canadian Classic Stakes. A 7-year-old One Famous Eagle gelding trained by Bryn Robertson for owners Carol Robertson, Jaime Robertson, and Dr. Charles Hall, One Famous Glass will be shortening in distance off of his half-length victory in the 440-yard, $54,000 Bank of America Ajax Championship Challenge Stakes on September 3. The gelding drew post 8 and will be ridden by Tony Phillips.
