Emnent To Make Career Debut in Harrah’s Entertainment Futurity Trials

BOSSIER CITY, LA—FEBRUARY 27, 2017—Bobby D. Cox’s Emnent, a fast training race winner on February 10, will make his career debut in Saturday’s Harrah’s Entertainment Futurity (G3) trials at Louisiana Downs.

A homebred son of Dominyun out of the winning Corona Cartel mare Bodacious Dream, Emnent is trained by Kenneth Roberts. The brown gelding scored a 1 3/4-length victory in a 220-yard schooling race at Louisiana Downs, as he covered the distance in :12.022, the fastest winning time from six training races that day.

Emnent drew post 6 and will be ridden by Donald Watson in the first of eight 300-yard trials.

Cox and Roberts will also be represented by Aguila, a homebred brown daughter of One Famous Eagle and the graded stakes winning Royal Quick Dash mare Quick Moon Sign. Aguila prepped for her debut by defeating Together To The End by a neck in :12.158 for 220-yards.

Noe Castaneda will ride Aguila from post 8 in the eighth heat.

Together To The End, a homebred filly by champion Inseperable trained by Jose Sanchez, drew post 6 and will be ridden by Eddie Sanchez in the fifth trial. Together To The End is out of Gabbey Holland, a winning 15-year-old daughter of Holland Ease.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $250,000-est. Harrah’s Entertainment Futurity final on March 22.
