FREDERICKSBURG, TX—AUGUST 26, 2016—Red Corona Warrior, a two-time stakes winner this season, is one of 10 sprinters entered in Saturday’s 330-yard, $17,500 Simulcast Services Stakes at the Gillespie County Fair.

A homebred 4-year-old son of Coronas Fast Dash trained by Josue Ponce for the Terrazas Family, Red Corona Warrior is coming off of a Retama Park season during which he scored a nose victory in the 350-yard, $20,000 King William Handicap on July 9. The gelding has banked $26,110 from four outs this season, and his two wins include a victory in the 110-yard, $15,000 Texas Twister Stakes (R) at Sam Houston Race on April 30.

Red Corona Warrior drew post 10 and will be ridden by Noe Villatoro. The gelding’s nine opponents include Jorge Aguilera’s Sr Inseperable, a 3-year-old daughter of champion Inseperable and winner of the 350-yard, $71,000 Old South Derby at Delta Downs in May. Sr Inseperable drew post 6 and will be ridden by Luis Vivanco.
