EVANSTON, WY—JULY 22, 2016—Anais Robles’ Vvr Stormy Cartel, a daughter of the Corona Cartel stallion Coronas Velvet and the fastest qualifier, is one of 10 juveniles entered back in Sunday’s 350-yard, $37,100 Wyoming Bred Futurity (R) at Wyoming Downs.

Trained by Chad Giles, Vvr Stormy Cartel broke her maiden with a half-length victory in the third of four trials on July 10. The filly drew post 2 and will be ridden by Jesus Canales.

Also on Sunday, Wyoming Downs will host silent and live auctions to benefit longtime Intermountain region horseman Mike Taylor, who was severely injured in a highway accident in Idaho on June 10.
