If I Were Famous Makes Season Debut in Tower of the Americas Handicap

SELMA, TX—JUNE 28, 2016—If I Were Famous, a homebred 6-year-old gelding by One Famous Eagle, will make his season debut in Friday’s 550-yard, $15,000 Tower of the Americas Handicap at Retama Park.

Trained by Esteban Rubio for owner C. Dawn Ivey, If I Were Famous will be making his first start since June 26, 2015, when he ran second, two lengths behind 2014 world champion Jrc Callas First, in the Tower of the Americas Handicap. The gelding drew post 5 and will be ridden by Gaspar Garcia.
