VINTON, LA—MAY 3, 2016—Kaitlen Emfinger’s Not Perry Pretty will risk her four-race win streak and make her sophomore season debut in Saturday’s 350-yard, $25,000 Mother’s Day Stakes for fillies and mares at Delta Downs.
A sorrel Dash Ta Fame filly trained by Michael Taylor, Not Perry Pretty has won all four of her outs -- all at this track -- and her two wins include last year’s 350-yard, $318,000 Firecracker Futurity (G2) and 330-yard, $87,000 Old South Futurity. The filly drew post 2 and will be ridden by David Alvarez.
Pyc First Prize Mia, a 4-year-old Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare trained by Kenneth Weeks for owner Lester Colomb Jr., faces distaffers again off of her nose victory in the 250-yard, $20,000 Delta Dash Stakes on April 23. Pyc First Prize Mia will be ridden by J.R. Ramirez from post 8.
