    PHOENIX, AZ—APRIL 29, 2016—Magical Jess, a gelded son of One Sweet Jess and the fastest qualifier, drew post 10 for Sunday’s 300-yard, $30,000-added Desert Classic Futurity (R) at Turf Paradise.

    Racing for Ugo de la Torre from the barn of Mario Loza, Magical Jess made his debut with a neck victory in the second of three Desert Classic Futurity trials on April 10. The gelding will be ridden by Rodolfo Arvizu.

    De la Torre and Loza will also be represented by Magnificent Jess, a homebred One Sweet Jess filly who made her debut with a neck win in the third trial. Magnificent Jess drew post 7 and will be ridden by Martin Osuna.
