BOSSIER CITY, LA—FEBRUARY 1, 2016—Kevin Nobles’ Streak Of Music will make his first start in five months in Saturday’s 870-yard, $25,000 Magnolia Stakes (R) for state-breds at Louisiana Downs.
A $10,000 claim at Delta Downs on June 13, Streak Of Music has won both of his subsequent starts, including the 870-yard, $30,000 Faubourg St. Johns Stakes at Fair Grounds on September 5. The 5-year-old gray son of Miracle Streak drew post 4 and will be ridden by Edgar Baca for trainer Ray Robbins.
Robbins will also send out KR Jess Hopeful, a 5-year-old gelding by champion Jess Louisiana Blue racing for Lindsey Mendenhall’s R & R Racing Inc. A $10,000 claimer in 2014, KR Jess Hopeful is coming off of a 4-year-old campaign during which he won three of five outs, including the 870-yard Races and Aces Stakes (R) at Evangeline Downs on December 19.
Donell Blake will ride KR Jess Hopeful from post 6.
