HOBBS, NM—DECEMBER 1, 2015—An overflow field of 12 two-year-olds, including Grade 1 winner BV Midnite Express, has been entered in Sunday’s 440-yard, $200,000 Southwest Juvenile Championship (G1) at Zia Park.

A homebred son of freshman sire Freighttrain B racing for Bella Vista Farms, BV Midnite Express will be making his first start since September 7, when the gelding scored a three-quarter length victory in the 440-yard, $200,000 All American Juvenile Invitational Stakes at Ruidoso Downs. BV Midnite Express has earned $635,252 from six starts, and his four wins include a half-length score in the $1.17-million Heritage Place Futurity (G1) at Remington Park in May.

BV Midnite Express is trained by Eddie Lee Willis. Russel Hadley will ride the gelding from post 10 in the Southwest Juvenile Championship, which has also drawn Martin Ybarra’s Game Changes and Esequiel Porras’ Miss Feet Down First, the dead-heat winners of the October 11, 400-yard Hobbs America Futurity (G2) at Zia Park.

Game Changes is a gray son of Game Patriot trained by Umberto Belloc. The gelding has won three of his last four outs, with the only blemish on an otherwise perfect record being a fourth-place finish, one length behind BV Midnite Express, in the All American Juvenile Invitational. Game Changes drew post 3 and will be ridden by Larry Gamez.

A sorrel filly by Dominyun trained by Carlos Alvidrez, Miss Feet Down First has won her last three races. The filly drew post 11 and will be ridden by Oscar Cordova.
