SOUTH JORDAN, UT—APRIL 25, 2015—Laurel Brown Track will host trials today for the SVLAC Futurity and the Beehive Futurity.

First post today (Saturday) is set for 11a.m. (MDT). Races 1 thru 5 are for the $6,000-added SVLAC Futurity (co-sponsored by Wyoming Downs) and races 6 thru 12 will be for the $25,000-added Beehive Futurity.

The 10 fastest qualifiers for both stakes races will return to Laure Brown Track on Saturday, May 9th and vie for the winner's share of the finals.

Races will continue at Laurel Brown Track on May 23 with trials for the $4000 added 89 & Under Stakes (Sponsored by Wyoming Downs) and the $8000 Added Bonus Challenge (Co-Sponsored by IFA) and the $12,500 Added Ed Giles Memorial Futurity (Co-Sponsored by AA Callisters). The finals for all of these stakes races will run on June.

"Our entries were way up this year and we are very excited for our growth," UQHA Racing secretary Jeannie Hullinger said. "We appreciate all the owners/trainers who have supported us this year and we are hoping for continued growth for our races."

According to Hullinger the Beehive Futurity has been growing with all the support of the stallion owners and farms that donate their stallions to the annual Beehive Stallion Auction.

"A big thank you to them for their continued support," Hullinger said.

The 2016 Beehive Futurity will be $30,000 Added and the 2017 Beehive Futurity will be $35,000 Added.

"Our 2015 Beehive Stallion Auction was a huge success this year making our 2018 Beehive Futurity being over $50,000," she added. "So once again a huge thank you to all the people that support us here in Utah."
