EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA—JULY 22, 2014—Fastest qualifier Pros Rockstar is the morning-line favorite in Wednesday’s 330-yard, $56,393 Alberta Stallion Futurity (R) at Northlands Park.

A sorrel son of the Ronas Ryon stallion Promised Class, Pros Rockstar races for Billie Bird, Sandra Nicklom, and trainer Laurie Ferguson. The gelding made his career debut with a convincing 2 3/4-length victory in the third of three trials on July 4.

Tyler Walker has been named to ride Pros Rockstar in the final.

Rigetti Farms’ Glittering Blue, a homebred 6-year-old stallion by champion Jess Louisiana Blue, drew post 5. Trained by William Leech, Glittering Blue has won his last two outs at Grande Prairie and Lethbridge.
